Up to 50 agents, your structure.

Give each agent a role, a mission and a manager.

11 shapes. Your colours.

Choose eyes, accessories and any colour for each agent.

  • Orb

Your own endpoint
Any OpenAI-compatible API. That is a web address that serves a model.
Azure deployments
Use the models you deploy in your own Azure account.
Local models
Run Ollama models on your work computer. No provider bill.
Agent apps
Sign in to Codex, Claude Code, Gemini CLI or Grok Build on your work computer.

Your own accounts, billed by each provider. Logos and names are trademarks of their respective owners. Self State does not own them and is not affiliated with or endorsed by those companies.

Multimodal workspaces

Notes, files, images, sound, video.

Each agent has its own Canvas. All its work stays in one place.

  • Documents and imagesPDF pages and pictures become context an agent can use.
  • AudioWork computerSpeech becomes text with a local Whisper model.
  • VideoWork computerSelf State keeps key frames and a transcript.

Processing runs on your own computer, up to 100 MB per file.

Each agent has its own Canvas.

Keep notes, files, images and results together.

  • Group items into sections.
  • Add tags and links to show how items relate.
  • Choose which items the agent may use.

The tools are the same for all agents. The content belongs to each one.

  • NotePatternTeams lose context between tools, not inside them.#insightLink: leads to For Milo.
  • NoteFor MiloThree needs to design for first.#handoff
Example. Each agent has its own Canvas: the same tools, separate content. Moving a card does not change what an agent may use.

Choose what moves between agents.

Connect each agent to a library, a notepad or a named channel.

  • Send lets an agent add to a channel.
  • Receive lets an agent use it.
  • You see every route in one place.

A connection gives permission. It does not start work or send anything.

  3. MiloBuild

Choose Send or Receive beside an agent, then choose an object.

Example, not your workspace. A connection is a permission. It sends nothing and starts nothing.

Compute on demand

Rent a GPU. It stops by itself.

A GPU is a chip for heavy AI work. Agents can rent one on your own account.

  • Cost capYou set the most it may cost per hour, and for how long.
  • Auto-stopAt the time limit, it stops or shuts down by itself.
  • Monthly limitOne limit covers all rentals in a month.
  • ApprovalNothing starts until you approve it.

Quantum and biological computing

Run a circuit on a real quantum computer.

A quantum computer works with qubits, not normal bits. Build a circuit, test it, then send it.

Quantum

  • IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket and IonQ, on your own account.
  • Through Braket: hardware from IonQ, IQM, Rigetti and AQT.
  • Check the circuit on a simulator first. It costs nothing.
  • You see the cost cap. You approve each job.

Living neurons

  • Cortical Labs keeps living neurons on a chip, the CL1.
  • A fixed, checked experiment runs on your work computer.
  • It records spikes and sends small, limited pulses. You approve each run.
  • FinalSpark gives access by request. Self State helps you apply.

Some features are in beta and need your own accounts. Jobs run on your own provider accounts, and providers bill you. Cortical Labs runs through its SDK on your work computer. Set up your organization.

Work solo or with a team. The receptionist starts in manual mode, at no model cost.

  2. 2

    Connect a model.

Use your own API key, endpoint or signed-in agent app.

  3. 3

    Give one clear task.

    Results wait for your review.

Your Self State login and your model accounts are separate. Providers bill you directly.
